Dan Hohl

Dan grew up in Southern California spending summers in the ocean and winters learning to ski in the Sierra Nevada range. He was introduced to climbing and backcountry skiing at UC Berkeley and continued pursuing those passions in the Wasatch Mountains while in graduate school at the University of Utah. Dan began guiding and instructing climbing, mountaineering, and ski touring in Colorado after earning his Master’s in 2018.

Dan’s favorite ways to move in the mountains are alpine climbing, ski mountaineering, and ultra distance trail running. His secondary hobby is drinking excessive amounts of coffee. He is an AMGA Single Pitch Instructor, AIARE Pro 1 certified, a NOLS Wilderness First Responder, and has completed his AMGA Rock Guide Course.
