Approximately two weeks prior to class, you will receive an equipment and supply list for the five-day field portion of the course at the KMAC campus in Estes Park, as well as other materials (e.g., syllabus). You will be provided an area to camp at KMAC. It is a primitive campsite in a pleasant and beautiful setting with water and toilet facilities. There are no showers for bathing. Due to the nature of this course, the experiential model we use, and regular, often unplanned teaching clinics, we strongly encourage participants to stay at the KMAC campsite. You may also choose to camp off-site, arrange your own accommodations or commute each day, as long as you arrive each morning at the scheduled time.
If you intend to register for course credit from Colorado State University, please bring your checkbook or credit card to the first day of the class at which time you will complete the necessary paperwork and make payment. You do not need to do anything prior to this date to register for course credit.
The class will meet on Monday, May 17 at 9am at the Colorado Welcome Center in Fort Collins (3745 East Prospect). Let the volunteers in the lobby know that you have a course in the classroom and they will point you in the right direction. Please come prepared with a sack lunch and comfortable clothing.
